Curiosity killed the Nat..

So I am sitting under what looks like a bomb went off in our store. We (being Jen and I) decided to take a peek under just a few ceiling tiles on Tuesday evening around 5pm (when I should have been ending my work day).

What started with a "let's just take a few tiles down to see what's up there" ended up in a domino effect and kept us here till midnight. When I hadn't returned home by 7:30 Paul text to ask "what's up" I was sooo tempted to text back "not the ceiling" but keeping in mind he is 51 now I decided to say "not much, could use a vacuum though". He was here in 10 mins, shaking his head and said "have fun" and left, only to return with a taller more stable ladder and a saw.

no turning back now hunny :S

about midnight the second night we tackled this

We worked till midnight, came back in at 8am to set up shop again as everything was pushed around.Good time for some major re arranging!
Curiosity killed me alright, the next am I woke up with sore muscles that I didn't even know I had! I had been doubling up on the allergy pills but this "peek" put me into full blown cold symptoms. I took Wednesday night off and slept *whines, and went back at it Thursday night again..we are approximately half way done the demo!

why would anyone cover that T&G??

It gets worse before it gets better right?
It will be gorgeous someday I know...but right now it's a war zone.

nothing is ever easy, but we have the pieces to patch in

The funny thing is no one notices when they come in,that shows how people don't look up. It's quite hilarious actually when we have to point it out, even to friends who have been in for 20 mins and still haven't noticed.
So much for waiting till February, there's no going back now! Two truck loads of tiles have left the building!

off to the dump good thing Paul loves going to the dump!
the stars look so small up there,we are going to move the shelf up a foot, where the drop ceiling was

Happy Back To School Weekend!

Sounds like you had a fun and eventful week, lol. Don't you just love it when you start something thinking you'll just be at it for a short time and end up staying at it way past what you intended :) I'm hoping to make a trip to Bowmanville this weekend, is The Carriage House open? And yes, happy back to school weekend!! :D whoohoo!!

I'm so glad I was able to come in today even thought the weather was crappy. I really enjoyed your store and can't wait to come back for another visit! Was very nice to meet you too and I'm glad my son Kaedyn was on his best behaviour... I have never ever seen him so quiet, lol.
Have a good weekend :)

What size is the blue star? I might be looking for one once we have the interior of our place painted.
