Aberfoyle Fall Antiques Show, and some "Treats" in store!

Saturday we got up at the crack of dawn and went to Aberfoyle. When we left B'Dot the sun was shining and the skies were clear, not so much when we were traveling west.By the time we got there it was like we fast forwarded to November. It was windy as heck, freezing cold and spit on and off all day in between quick little bursts of sun. Nevertheless we managed to stay till 4pm,scored a few, lost a few,all in all a successful day!

Fallen for Fall at Carriage House

We have officially begun Fall, the beautiful, colourful, "season of plenty",time to "reap what you have sown",and enjoy the "fruits of your labour" season!!
This October we will be celebrating our stores 5th year anniversary. When we first opened we barely had enough to fill the front of our shop, but we decorated with pumpkins, gourds, and corn stalks to made it look like something. Just so we could be open for Applefest!
We love to decorate the shop for each season but Fall is definitely our favourite! The colours are so warm and comforting,I love mixing in the browns and blacks, the ochre and deep reds, and you know what they say..that orange is the new blue!
I love that the sun is shining but the air has a different feel a crisp, fresh, new feeling!
As much as I want to decorate with natural items,(ghost pumpkins and ghost squash can dress up an otherwise plain cabinet just right) I do need to make some sales  so I have brought in some "pretties" that are actually for sale.

I know I posted this pic before but I love it!
