Memories of Christmas Past

The older I get the more I cherish the memories of Christmas' past..the kids are growing up so fast...gone are the days of toys piled all around the tree...they have long moved on to bigger and more expensive things..electronics..and hard cold cash!!!
They someday too will look back at their childhood with fond memories of  Pogs,Power Rangers,Barbies,Candy Land,Pokemon Gold, Silver, Red and Blue,Zelda,Littlest Pet Shop, and Polly Pockets..to name a few..
This year I brought out my favourite Christmas memories,Baby Beans who I begged for at 8 years old,and remember not getting her til the very end of gift opening..my sister who was working already as a waitress bought it for me and watched me squirm before giving it to me...I think I was actually in tears (mean sister)Then came the lecture that I should pretend I love the hard ugly doll my mom gave me so not to hurt her feelings.
We always went to visit my Gramma Cassel after dinner each year and were only allowed to bring one thing with us..I took ugly doll :s
Then the year I got Garfield two weeks before Christmas from my other sister who I'd had a fight with...I remember her opening the door to our shared bedroom and tossing it at me and saying "sorry" you have NO idea what that meant to me as apologies don't happen often in our family!
Kermit came into my childhood Christmas 1978,I love him very much, especially his velcro hands and feet,he has hung upside down in trees, been cross legged for years and hugged my other stuffed animals..
Holly Hobbie is a classic fond memory rag doll...my eldest daughter Jaclyn actually wore her outfit her first Halloween in 1990 she was 13 months old.
Drowsy was from much younger I remember pulling her string in the back and loving her very much, she disappeared and was my very first Ebay purchase, for which I way overpaid because I just HAD to have her again!

What are your favourite childhood Christmas presents??
Soon it will be Christmas day

Knox Christmas Farm

Yesterday we visited Knox Christmas Farm
We had the best time wandering around the farm, watching a live Nativity play, sipping hot chocolate with all the fixins, seeing the animals, and warming our toes by the bonfire!
We went into the back forty and relaxed in the log cabin...I will let the pictures speak for themselves
